Psy’s New Video Is… Um…

GentlemanI said it before, when Psy dropped “Gangnam Style” I was notoriously slow off the mark in posting it on the site because after I watched it the first time I wasn’t really moved one way or another.

His new vid for “Gentleman” hit YouTube three days ago and is already at a whopping 86 million views so what the hell. I figured I’d post it here in case you guys haven’t seen it already (unlikely).

It’s got some pretty sick beats but it’s sorely lacking the radass dance moves that made “Gangnam Style” explode like an H-bomb on the interwebs.

Awesome Work Time-Wasters (Part XII): Dikembe Mutombo’s 4 1/2 Weeks To Save The World

Dikembe4Old Spice, hahahahaha! I mean, your GRANDAD used to wear Old Spice right? Christ, he used to practically BATH in that stuff, it was insane.

Much like Bell’s Extra Special Old Scotch Whisky, the Old Spice was pretty much doomed to failure because it’s target audience was getting very old and shuffling off this mortal coil.

Then they relaunched the brand with some of the fucking weirdest advertising known to man and hey presto! The brand became cool again. In their latest escapade, they have teamed up with former basketball player Dikembe Mutombo and made the following epic piece of work time-wastery.

SlickTiger Finds The Weirdest Gangnam Mashup EVER

GangnamWTFIf you thought last week’s Gangnam Busters mashup was weird just wait until you get a load of what the Russians came up with.

The video you’re about to see is definitely not the weirdest video I’ve ever put on this site (that one is here) but it gets the job done, no doubt about that.

Apparently it’s a mashup of Gangnam Style and a Michel Teló (anybody?) song. My favourite bits are the guy dancing with the bottles of booze, the ghost-like old dude jamming with his awesome beard and the dinosaur with the accordion. Holy crap that sentence was awesome…

Gangnam Busters – Best. Mashup. Ever.

GangnamghostbusterAs a blogger the most vital skill you can have, more important than actually stringing a sentence together, is the ability to spot cool shit on the interwebs and post it before it goes supernova.

I failed dismally with Gangnam Style. The first time I saw that video, it had only had about 230k views compared to the 476 MILLION it has had to date.

If I’d posted it back then holy shit. I’d be MADE! The traffic from Google alone would have launched this site straight into the stratosphere. But yeah. I watched it inbetween other stuffs I was doing at work and was like “Huh. That was weird…” and carried on with life.
