Friday LOLZ: Animal Edition

tumblr_n1dmzyaiGX1r6pudbo1_1280What today needs is some crazy internet animals that think they are people. In fact, I’m pretty sure that’s the reason the internet was invented way back in 2007 – to show everyone how flippin RAD animals are.

Animals have existed for well over 90 years in various forms namely flying, crawling, swimming and running. Their primary function is to provide LOLZ for mankind over the internet and taste delicious.

Animals were first discovered in their natural habitat, pet stores, where they begin their lives as tiny replicas of their fully-grown selves and spend a lot of time chewing (except fish, but they can’t be really classified as animals as they belong to the reptile family).

Escape Monday: With A Video That Will Make You Hallucinate

Tripping Balls_1c98a5_3904283I was super-sceptical about this one. It sounded like one of those “Forward this email to 15 people and you’ll win the lottery!” type scams, but I watched the video anyway and sure enough, it worked!

If you’ve never taken hallucinogenic drugs before the effects of this video might freak you out but don’t worry, it wears off after about 5 seconds and things return to normal… I hope…

Of course, there’s always the worry that this video might be planting something dangerous deep down in your subconscious mind, but I don’t think it’s very likely. Just kick, back watch this video on full screen (needs sound) and escape Monday whilst tripping balls at work.

Captain Stu Are Fucking Cool

And if you don’t believe me, I want you to know that you’re wrong. And no, this isn’t one of those situations where it’s ok to be wrong and you say ‘Well, let’s just agree to disagree’ and slope off to have a crafty wank behind the tool shed.

Captain Stu are fucking cool because not only are they carving out a sound that is fresh, funky and infectious, but Ryan the bassist gave me first dibs on their new video for the track “The Day” off their radass new EP that they’re launching on Friday night at Zula.

But wait. It’s get’s better.

Johnny Cash and the lazy SUnday

Johnny Cash found me sometime during my second year at varsity and we became pals.

I think the first song of his that I really dug was ‘A Boy Named Sue’. That song strikes a chord with me, if fact any piece of literature, music or film that deals with troubled father/son relationships resounds with me.

Also, the song was fucking badass. Here are the lyrics:

“A Boy Named Sue”:

My daddy left home when I was three
And he didn’t leave much for ma and me
‘Cept this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze.
Now, I don’t blame him cause he run and hid
But the meanest thing that he ever did
Was before he left, he went and named me "Sue."
